Sept. 20th at Pottsville

On September 20th, 2008, the Potts Inn Museum National Historic Site will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Butterfield Stagecoach Line.  The Potts Inn is the original home of Kirkbride and Pamelia Logan Potts and was used as a stagecoach stop in the 1850s.   Not only do we have the Potts Inn Museum, we also have a National Historic District which includes a 1913 bank, an 1880s store, and a cattle dipping vat.   We have a very unique downtown area.  If you don't know where Pottsville is, it is on Interstate 40, exit 88, 6 miles east of Russellville.

We are trying to get anyone that can provide historic demonstrations for the public.  I have been told some of you have already made commitments for that day.  If there is anyone interested, you can contact me through this forum or by my email, pscar@cswnet.com.  If you are able to come, we will help you with gas expenses and supplies.

Thank you.

Pam Scarber
