The Linn County Conservation Department and the Iowa Prairie Rose Cookers Dutch Oven Society will host the 1st Midwest Dutch Oven Gathering September 19-21 in Pinicon Ridge Park, Cental City, Iowa.
     Check in begins on Friday at 12noon with a group meal served Friday evening.
      Saturday's activities include group meals, cook-offs, demos, classes, vendors, a Boy Scout Dutch Oven Show Down, live music by McPunk Brothers Bluegrass, and a celebrity demo by "Cousin Rick", Rick Black of Fort Madison, Iowa.
   Cindy and Charlie Overton from Black Pot demos (WI) will be there with their Camp Chef Products and more.
   Come and enjoy the good food, good fun, and good fellowhsip of Dutch Oven cooking and harvest time in Iowa.
