Need that recipe!

Thanks for the email reminder today Doug. I was checking out the pictures of Deno-Fest, awesome job!! I would really love to have the recipe for the spicy chocolate cake. Those are Greg's two favorite foods! We hated to miss the National DOG but I was busy that weekend, learning how to fish, bowhunt and halfway teaching a Dutch oven class at the Becoming an Outdoors Woman weekend. While there, I met Keith's sister-in-law Anne.

Thanks in advance for the recipe, if you can share!! Melissa

Re: Need that recipe!

That was one of Keith's recipes and he is out of state at the moment.  I will get it from him when he returns and post it.  At the Women in the Outdoors, did you pick up anything new about Dutch oven cooking?

Doug

Re: Need that recipe!
I think I offered more than I gleaned! But I did pick up a few things. I like to use aluminum foil in my ovens sometimes, I found out parchment paper works better. Less tearing and easier to deal with. The instructor had some neat fire pans. They were old mining pans she had picked up from a military surplus store really cheap. They worked really well, were wide and deep for holding hot coals! For attending the class, we each got one of Phylis Speer's Dutch oven cookbooks, as well as a recipe book for the dishes we cooked in class. I got to bake cornbread for the first time in an oven.
