Devil's Den Dog

We have had to cancel the DOG at Devil's Den Stack Park next weekend. It seems to have conflicted with a whole lot of other peoples plans so we just decided to cancel and try to figure out another time that we can do it. I would like to thank Ron and Doris for trying to pull this off for us and maybe the next time it will work out for everyone.

I talked to Oscar Robinson about organizing a Fall D.O.G. He said he would do it if he didn't have to work too much. When I think about it and how beautiful (and COOL) it will be in the fall at Devil's Den, I decided if he doesn't I will if enough people are interested. If interested let me (or Doug) know and Ron and I will do it. Would need dates preferred ASAP though as Devil's Den will probably be crowded in the Fall. The folks down there were really excited when we made the reservations. Ron and I are just really new cooks so we don't know a lot of people but we'll sure give the D.O.G. our best shot again if Oscar can't do it or we'll help him if he does. I know the National D.O.G. is in October, forgot the exact date but we're planning on being there. The Charlie Adams Day Cook-off in Ponca City, OK is in September, the 15th????? We're planning on being there too but don't have my calendar in front of me. I don't know if Oscar comes here but I will help him if he can organize it and needs any help or if not I'll do it. We bombed out on the Spring contest which is no one's fault except my own. I even forgot we were suppose to cook at Bull Shoals on the same day and there were lots of other things going on which is probably why we didn't get any more interest.
