April 21 2012 CADOG will be at Toad Suck Park. West of Conway on the banks of the Arkansas River.. We start at 8:00 AM. In shelter #3. Pots on the table between 12-12:30.Or when everybody is ready. Dessert -- Mammoth Spring Cook-Off

Thank you for stopping by the Arkansas Dutch Oven Society website. The Arkansas Dutch Oven Society charter states that our purpose is to further the knowledge and heritage of Dutch oven cooking. We do this by Dutch Oven Gatherings (DOGS), historic reenactments, and demonstrations. We encourage you to join our group and take part in our activities and forum discussions. It is our goal to promote the art of Dutch oven cooking in Arkansas and beyond. If you know of any events in which Dutch oven cooking is featured, please let us know so that we can post it to the site and help get the word out about it. It does not have to be a "cook-off", just anything connected with the "black pots." Arkansas Dutch Oven Society has members all across the state of Arkansas and many of the surrounding states that are always looking for a DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering).

The 2013 National Dutch Oven Gathering will be held here in Arkansas and will be headed up by Eric McAllister from Hot Springs. Eric has already started working on the planning of it, and one thing is for certain …he will need some help. Start thinking now about being able to help in Oct of 2013. We want to have the rest of the nation to be able to leave and say, “this was the best one yet!” Stay tuned for more details.
Keep your coals hot, and I hope to share a campfire with you someday!
